Treatment of Lung Cancer in Transplant Recipients

Lung Cancer in Transplant Recipients (PubMed)
Study published in the August 2004 issue of the Archives of Surgery that investigated aggressive surgical treatment of lung cancer by stage-based outcome in immunosuppressed solid organ transplant recipients. Among other conclusions, the study found that resection seems to offer a high chance of cure in those transplant recipients with cancers staged IIB or less.[8/04]
